Happy and Sad

Finally, I have my result and I'm happy today and I 'm a little bid sad for my classmates. I wish you guys all the best in your career choice . Don't give up, you have to be patient and confident because when a door is closed many more others will open. I enjoyed being with you guys,I had fun and I'll miss all my classmates. Also congratulations to my six others classmates and good luck .

Bad night

I couldn't sleep last night bacause I was thinking about the test, I was nervous too. This morning before the test my heart beat more than usual and I was a little bit nervous. I tried to do my best in the test, but I don't know what is going to happen, I thought it was the same for others student. I used to be in that situation when I was in high school for some reason I was stressful. At work I tried to forget about it, unfortunatly I couldn't stop thinking of the result. Anyway I did what I had to do and now I have to focus on the next one. I'll be more confident and less nervous.

The end of the semester

This semester is almost over and I'm going to miss you guys from september to present I had fun and I enjoyed being with you guys, eventhough we came from different contries and have different cultures we got along very well. We never let our diffencies get in the way of our friendship. I wish you all the best and good luck in your career choice. Also I'm greatful to my teachers Ms Marrissa & Ms Elaine. Compared how I started now I feel better in more confident in myself eventhough I know I have to make more effort in my writing, vocabulary I am on the right path to achieve my goal. Thank you so.. so much.

Bad luck

Yesterday I went to New Jersey with my friend Henry. He wanted to buy a car like my , He found a good deal on the internet but the dealership was located at New Jersey. I gave him a ride when we got there it was about 9:25 am. The saleman showed him the car and he liked it. He went inside he fill out some papers. 30 minutes later the dealer's representative told him that he didn't approve for a loan because he had bad credit, and the car payment was to high for him I felt terribly sorry for him and he was desapointed.

Bad time

Last night when I got home I had a bad moment . My wife was sick and she had pain in her chest, she couldn't sleep so did I . I had a heavy day at work and I didn't expect that situation when I got home. On wednesday morning we went to the hospital it was 7:40am by the time to get home it was already 11;50 am . Now she feels better than last night and I have to prepare myself in order to get to work on time. That's why I didn't go to school this wednesday I had no choice and I miss my class too. That's the life.

cold weather

Winter is not my favorite season. During the winter I have to put on a lot clothes and the roads are always slipry . My problem with the snow is to clean the driveway and the side walk. Anytime I finish to clean the driveway few minutes later it'll become worse . This year I think we are going to have a bad winter so I have to prepare for that. I remember last year my wife' s car stuck in the snow in front of the house she couldn't do nothing. I was already at work so I came back to help her and I gave her my car, to much work in the winter season. I don't like it.

Snow last night

Last night the road was bad and I saw 3 cars accident on the Beslt parkway. I drove slowly and arrived home at 12:40. The snow was beautiful and everything was white. before I went to bed I spent 30 minutes to admire the treet it was beautiful. The next day it was already melt. My only problem with the snow is the roads are always slipry and sometimes I work in ramp doing the flight and it's hard for me to drive a forklift near the airplane.

My favorite day

I'm always happy on saturday bacause the next I don't have to go to work and I have time for my family.Usualy on saturday it's always beasy at United Airlines , I have a lot of work to do . At export area the truck driver are always in a rush and the drivers are always asking for Regie. I work hard and faster that's why they love me like that. I have three weeks in a new building and everybody knows my name already from the manager to the security. I can't believe that. My supervisor never give me an assignment and he knows every area is going to need my help anyway. I'm glad that I work in a good environment. life couldn't be better.

My wonderful day.

Yesterday I had a good time, after class I Got home around 12;40 pm . I slept for two hours when I woke up I went to Macy's to pay my bill and then my wife and I went out to diner. We had a good , we talked about the past when we first met how it was hard for me to get a first date. Because her family did not allowed her to go out when ever she wants.When we look at the past now we laugh and we say look at us we are married and we go out when ever we want to. we thank God we have same days off which give us the opprtunity to spend time with each other.

my speech

I can't believe the weekend is over already. Sunday I didn't go to church in oder to prepare my speech.To tell you the truth I'm nervous right now but tomorrow I'll be fine. I used to do that when I was in my country specially at university but Monday it will be in english . I think that kind of activity is good for us, The teachers should do it two times during the semester. It will help us for the next level or for the future. If I did one speech in first part of semester now I 'll be more than ready for the second one. Anyway from september to present I learn a lot things,so my speech will allowed others to see if my english skills is good or bad. Also I learn from other student's speech like the King of Thailand, Diego's dog. Monday will be my turn. I proud of that because, others students are going to learn from me. All I can say thank you Ms Elain for the activity.

Thanksgiving day

unfortunately on thanksgiving day I went to work ,I had a cool day because I had nothing to do.The flights were very light and there were a few customer to take care of. I took adventage of that day to finish my speech on my obssesion or passion .Around 4 :30 pm the manager ordered food for us from Boston Market we had a good time and Everybody enjoyed that day . The good news came few hours later when my supervisor told me that I could go home at 10;30 pm. I was verry happy. I hoped everybody had a good time on thanksgiving day.

Classical music

I remembered when I was 14 years old my God mother came from Paris, and then he told me that he had something for me. He brought a gift for my birthday . When I opened the package I found a CD ,that was Antonio Vivaldi. I said to myself what I my gonna do with a classical CD. She look at me and then she said to me later you gonna love it. Effectively few years after I became a fan of classical music. I have all the greatest composers such as, Johann Sebastian Bach, Joseph Hadn, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. etc. Last year for my birthday my wife brought me the four season of Vivaldi. That was amazing because Vivaldi is my favorite composer. Now I realize an artist is never died when his works is still existe.

my first sunday

This morning my wife and I went to church and then we went to my mother in law 's house. We had a good time. she was very happy to see us. It's been more than 1 year since I go to church because I never at home on sunday I used to work on sunday. I was complaining to God about that so he finally give me what I wanted. I'm glad. When we arrived at home in the afternoon. I cleanned my house but, I couldn't clean my car it was very cold outside. I did my homework while I was listening to the classical music. I love classical music. Antonio Vivaldi, Bach, Haydn, rachmaninoff , Beethoven, Mozart etc... they're all my favorite. I enjoyed my first sunday at home.

My horrible week

I worked ten days in a row without days off. Yesterday was my bad day . The company moved to another building and I had to put every freights on a new location. I worked by export and import at the same time. I did delivery and I prepared the paper work too.I was complaining to the manager, he finally gave me a co-worker.The new guy didn't know the United systeme yiet, so I had to show him how it works. Usually after I finished my shift I couldn't drive home.Sometimes I drove in two lanes. I was so tired , and when I got home I had home work to do. All over the world life is not easy. I must reach my goal anyway. I know it's not going to be easy,but it's not imposible eather.

Karaoke

The karaoke was wonderful. The singers was amazing. I really enjoyed it. My favorite part was the first singer I don' t remember her name. She came from china and she sang; My heart will go on. She sang like Celine Dion that was incredible.The third groupe was good too . I remember one part of their song; I wanna hold your hand. That was nice to see few people hold their hands together.The teachers were amazing. For me it was a family reunion. I loved it ,I Really loved it. Unfortunatly I don't know how to sing and I don't have a good voice either.I was glad to be there.

I'm lucky

Once again a lot of people is going to lose their jobs at J.F.K Airport. The economy is bad and some companies cannot survive. I'm lucky, because I have seniority. I spoke to my manager yesterday and he told me that I was safe. So this week United Airlines is moving to another building. It will be hard for me because we have less people working over there and I will have more work to do. Two weeks ago I worked by myselft without any help .Now I realize why. I spoke to a co-worker three days ago,and he told me. You know Regi six months ago I bought a house at Queens village. It's been three months since I got married , and now I'm unemployed. What am I going to do? It was very sad to hear that and I felt down. I should be in the same situation too.

Election in my country

In my country we have a lot political parties. We don't have college electoral compare to the U.S.A. People voted for their candidates. The person who win the most electoral vote,will be the president of the republic for 5 years term. We don't have vice President. The President elected will choose his Prime minister.In the Legislative branches we have 30 Senators and 99 people for the house of representatives. After the 5 years term the President has to leave. He cannot be reelect for a second term right away, he could come back 5 years later. U.S.A ,World Bank and F.M.I are always financing election in my country.Unfortunately we always have fake candidates. During the electoral campaign they promess you everything, such as health care, tuitions for college students and creation of thousands of work. When they become President or Senator they already forget you. After their term you will not be able to find not even a Deli. Therefor they pay people to vote for them, otherwise everybody will stay home. That's why my country is so poor to much corruption.

A famous person

It's a story about a famous person who is no longer alive. The famous person that I studied about when I was in high school was Emperor Jean Jacques Dessalines. He lived in the 1800's in Haiti.Because of him, Haiti is now a free country. The first black country which obtained his freedom. Emperor Jean Jacques Dessalines directed the Haitian people to revolt against slavery from the french colonies. In january 1804 ,we became independent. He built the nation that we have today. All I can say, Emperor Jean Jacques Dassalines thank you for what you did for us and we will never forget you.

How I get to work

I 'm a fulltime student and I have a fulltime job too.I usually get to work on time, I started at 3 to 11:30 pm. I arrived home at 12:15 or 12:20 am. I arrived late rarely depend of the trafic.In the morning I have to wake up early in order to get to school on time. After school I arrived home at 12:50 pm . I prepared my lunch ,I took a shower and ready to go again. Sometimes I couldn't see my wife. When I got home she was already sleeping, I didn't want to bother her so I Went to sleep in the guess room. After school she already went to work.Our days off are different too.On my days off, I cleanned my house , cut the grass in the back yard and sometimes I cook too. She showed me how to cook . It's very hard for me however, when you want something you have to make sacrifices.

Unusual life

I know a person that lived an unusual life in my country.That was in the 90's. She had two sons, raised them on her own without help from their father.Those two sons finished college and started to work to help the mother.Suddenly,the oldest died.Few years after the second died with liver desease.Since then, the mother lives an happy life. That was a true story.That person is my aunt.She still lives in Haiti.I call her every two weeks and she's always happy to talk to me.

Conversation Lab

Friday I had a good time at the conversation lab. We talked about halloween,how people celebrated it in different country. In my country we celebrated halloween in different way.Some people went to church to pray for their family or for someone who lost their friends and parents.Some of them went to the party.But we never do trick or treat, because in our culture we don't eat or drunk nothing from someone we don't know. My partner came from Dominican Republic.She told me in the village where she came from,they did the same thing too.We talked about ghost and we did some exercice on it. Some people gave some story about it in their conutry. In my country ghost's story is different. I don't believe in ghost, that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. For example in March 1993 my cousin died, his name was Fritzner.He was a kind man and respectfull.Everybody loved him. Two months after his funeral,a friend of my came to my house.But he didn't know my cousin pastaway and he told me. I saw Fritzner(my cousin) in the super market yesterday buying some food. I spoke to him but he didn't answer me and he looked different. When my friend said that my mother cried. And I told him my cousin died two monts ago. He was scared and he felt down in the floor.So until now I don't know if my friend was telling me the truth or not. He might be saw him or might be not. But for some reasons I don't believe in ghost. But anyway I enjoyed the class.

My weekend

Last weekend my wife and I went to Canada to visit my family. We drove seven hours to go there. We had a good time and my family was happy to see us. We visited a lot of places such as , olimpic stadium of Montreal, biodomes of Montreal. The Canadians were very friendly with us ,they were happy to talk about their cultures. At Montreal they speak french. We went to ottawa too. By the way Ottawa is the capital of Canada. The distance was two hours from Montreal when you driving , they speak english. It's a beautiful country. There are a lot of Italians in Canada, the second one are Haitians. The number one sport in Canada is the Hockey . At last I enjoyed my weekend in Canada, we went to the movie with my nieces and my sister. We had a lot of fun .

we miss you

I know you are not feeling very well today, we miss you and I hope you feel better.
Wednesday we had a new teacher his name was Gregory. We talked about women talk more than men, relationship between mother and thauger. A lot of student took part of the conversation. He was funny, and he was a severe person too. He didn't want two or three students went outside or to the bathroom at the same time, and he didn't want them to eat in the class room too. Which made sense for me. After that he was good. But you know we still missed you this wednesday.Anyway I hope I see on thursday and take care of yourself.

Financial Crisis

Nowadays many people lose their jobs, because the economic goes down. Few weeks

ago at JFK Airport,Swissport Cargo Services lay off forty people. Last month DHL layoff six

hundred people, because of significant economic pressure at JFK facility. They must downsize

their operations and also reduced their size of their workforce. As result many people couldn't

pay their mortgage,they lost their cars and everything they had. It wasn't a pretty picture.
